Biography
Kate Flora’s fascination with people’s criminal tendencies began in the Maine attorney general’s office. Deadbeat dads, people hurting their kids, and employers’ discrimination aroused her curiosity about human behavior. Her 28 published books include crime fiction, true crime, romantic suspense, memoir, nonfiction, and short stories. A finalist for the Edgar, Agatha, Anthony, and Derringer awards, she won the Public Safety Writers award for nonfiction and the Maine Literary Award for crime fiction. She received a lifetime achievement award from the New England Crime Bake and the Lea Wait Award for contributions to the mystery community.
